About Us

We are a home-based breeder of mini to medium sized Multi Generation Australian Labradoodles. After researching allergy friendly and non-shedding dogs, we welcomed our first Australian Labradoodle and soon after added a second. We now have 3 wonderful furbabies as part of our family. We fell in love with their fun loving personalities and wanted to share them with others.

We take great pride in raising the best dogs in the industry. We health test all dogs before they enter our breeding program. We screen and carefully select forever families that will love and care for them. When the babies are ready to arrive, they do so in our home. From the day they are born, they are loved, nurtured and cared for as part of our family. They will come to you healthy, happy, well socialized and ready to play. We look forward to helping you welcome your new furbaby.

Our Family Values

Health Tested

Our goal is to breed only top of the line Australian Labradoodles. All of our breeding dogs have passed extensive health testing. We test for Genetic Diseases and have OFA clearance on Hips, Elbows, Patellas, Cardiac and Eyes. We test above the highest industry standards.

Loved & Raised by Families

All puppies are raised by our loving Guardian Families according to our standards. All pups are handled from day 1 using ENS and early socialization. Pups are exposed to as many things as we possible can in their short time with us.

When they are in our home they spend time with the entire Stranger Family which consists of Jeff, Joyce, their 6 children, 12 grandkids along with our extended family & friends.

WHAT IS AN AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE?

The Labradoodle was first bred in Australia in the 1970s by the Royal Guide Dog Association to create an allergy-friendly guide dog. Cross-breeding Poodles with Labrador Retrievers led to this new breed, which quickly gained popularity. Breeders then refined the Labradoodle by introducing other breeds, like the American and English Cocker Spaniel, enhancing its desirable traits.

Today’s Australian Labradoodle is cherished for its low-shedding, allergy-friendly coat and friendly, easy-going nature. Sociable, intelligent, and affectionate, Labradoodles make wonderful pets, therapy dogs, and service dogs, excelling in roles like seizure and diabetic alert, as well as therapy work. Athletic and trainable, they enjoy activities like hiking, swimming, and daily mental challenges.

“Lucy is getting so big… she’s 9 pounds now. The girls absolutely adore her. I think the girls think she is their little baby… she lets us cradle her, carry her around and loves to get her belly rubbed. She loves playing in our backyard (Summer sets up obstacle courses for her), she’s really good in the car and she likes going on bike rides (we put her in a basket and she just sits there and loves the wind). Everyone who meets her can’t believe how adorable she is, but more than that… how good natured she is. Even the vet couldn’t believe how she was able to give her her shots, and clip her nails by herself and she just let her do it. he is crate trained, and knows how to sit, shake and touch our hand when we ask her to sit and we step back. We are working on bell training now for going to the bathroom (we just started). 4 more weeks and we can take her for walks… we can’t wait.

I have owned many dogs in my life from rescued, purchased and abandoned. My husband and I are empty nesters and we have owned many labs in our 27yrs together. I wanted to keep the lab but didn’t want all the hair so I was looking for a golden/lab doodle. So I started searching and looking for over 2yrs. my husband told me NO because we still had a 12yr old lab and a 17yr old maltipoo but I KEPT LOOKING and looking and asking. The more I looked the more picky I became!!! I wanted a certain color, style, size, etc…this was going to be MY BABY now that the kids are all grown and moved out. Well I came across one of Joyce’s post after talking to several breeders and even our good friend that breeds golden doodles that offered us a free one but, I WAS SOLD TO SACTOLABRADOODLES!! Nobody took the time like Joyce did to educate me on these dogs. I talked several times with Joyce and she even had a puppy that was ready but knew it would not be a good fit in our household and lifestyle. She is a very educated breeder. Our schedule day to pickup was a breeze, I absolutely loved how clean & safe Joyce & Jeff had their home from booty covers on your shoes with a certain area to visit the puppies in a family environment. The puppies were happy and clean. I had several to choose from but only one had chosen me and that was Ms. Abbey From the day we took her home I knew we got the right pup for our family! I loved that Joyce checked in on us to make sure if we had any questions or concerns the first few days. We took her to the vet and EVERYONE wanted to know where she came from because how beautiful, smart & healthy she is. She caught on too potty training very quickly, to this day no accidents in the house. She is the biggest love bug & very smart. Create trained the first night we brought her home, now she sleeps wherever she wants. Doesn’t chew on anything but her own toys & she learned so many commands. Absolutely loves to play fetch, go on walks & people. At 1month old rode 16hrs. to Montana did awesome (slept the whole way). First camping trip at 3 months old and nobody believed how well behaved she was at such a young age. We take her everywhere and everyone ask us where we got her from. She is always getting complemented how well mannered & what great temperament she has. We RAVE we shopped local Sactolabradoodles honestly could not ask for a more perfect fur-baby! I tell people that ask you won’t find a more awesome, dedicated breeder around. They are definitely one of a kind❤

Our fur baby, Rye, was part of the River/Presley litter born on 3/11/24. He is a complete love bug and has changed our lives for the best. Rye has the best temperament- super sweet, friendly, and outgoing. He is also very smart and was very easy to train! We are very thankful to Sactolabradoodles for helping raise such intelligent and sweet australian labradoodles. Rye is our first dog, so we were definitely anxious before getting Rye, but Joyce has made the experience very pleasant and provided us with everything we needed. We live in SF, and have bumped into sooo many other sacto doodles while walking around with Rye, and everyone has had the same great experience we had. He is constantly being stopped on the streets with people asking where we got him, and we always highly recommend Sacto! Rye is now almost one years old, and we couldn’t imagine life without him.

When applying for a pup Joyce provided valuable information about her program and about Roo for us to make an informed decision to become a guardian and a furever home for Roo and that she was confident she found the right family for Roo. My pup is PERFECT!!! I absolutely recommend getting a pup from Sactolabradoodles. My process was a bit unconventional but I could not be more happy with my Lainey girl! We live about 5 hours away and after asking tons of questions with the breeder (Joyce, who was very responsive), I was sold! I received pictures and video before choosing my pup on FaceTime. I was even given more pup options than just the litter I was looking at. The process was very simple and meeting our flight nanny at the airport when they delivered our pup was a core memory for my family. My puppy is SO smart, lovable, cuddly, slept in her crate from night one! All night!!! Potty trained relatively easy, and is beautiful! I will definitely get another pup from the same breeder someday. She is the perfect “doodle”!
